Whole Wheat & Flax Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:
  • 1 scoop BulkFoodsDirect.com Wholesale Protein Powder
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup flax seed meal
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp. white sugar or other sweetener
Combine all the dry ingredients, set aside.
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
Directions:

Whisk together wet ingredients then add to dry ingredients.

Grill pancakes in preheated non-stick pan or on non-stick griddle.

Protein French Toast with Caribbean Salsa

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup Diced Mango
  • 1/4 cup Diced Pineapple
  • 2 tsp. Lime Juice
  • 1 tsp. Shredded Coconut
  • 1/3 cup Bulk Foods Direct Best Whey Protein
  • 3/4 cup Skim Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 4 slices Multigrain Bread
Directions:
  1. In a medium bowl combine the mango, pineapple, lime juice and coconut; set aside.
  2. Preheat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium high heat. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  3. Whisk together the Bulk Foods Direct Whey Protein, skim milk, cinnamon, egg and salt. Dip the bread in the BiPro mixture and place in the hot pan. Cook turning once until golden brown on both sides. Repeat with remaining slices of bread.
  4. Serve immediately with the Caribbean Salsa.

  2. Add 1/2 cup of boiling water and stir.
Microwave Directions (thicker consistency):

  2. Add 2/3 cup of water and stir.
  3. Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes.

Healthy, Low Glycemic, Fruit Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:
  • 1 to 1-/2 cups sourdough bread
  • 1 omega-3 egg
  • 4 ox. egg whites (omega-3 enriched if possible)
  • 2 Tbsp. BulkFoodsDirect.com Pure Whey Protein Isolate
  • 1 cup flour (any kind, whole wheat preferred)
  • 1 cup 2% milk (or Almond Milk substitute)
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • either 3-4 apples or peaches or 2 cups blueberries
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (for apple pancakes only)
Recipe contains no butter, salt, omega-6 fat, or buttermilk. (zone friendly).
Directions:

Separate the egg yolk and put in a large mixing bowl. Add milk, mix well. Mix in dry ingredients. Mix in sourdough. Fold in whipped egg white. Add the blueberries or chunky chopped fruit. If mixture is too thin, add a little more flour until mixture oozes slowly from a spoon.

Preheat a large skillet to just over 400° (205 to 210 degrees C).

Lightly grease using heart healthy olive oil. When oil causes a drop of water to skitter, add the pancakes and smooth out quickly so chunks are flattened out a little. And cook as with regular pancakes.

For topping, use sweetened fruit yogurt, maple syrup or add brown sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla to light sour cream until sweet to taste.
 
 

 

High Protein Sweet Potato Pancakes

Ingredients:
  • 2 Scoops BulkFoodsDirect.com Natural Whey Protein
  • 1 Medium Sweet Potato
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla without alcohol
  • 2 Tbsp. Oatmeal
Directions:
  1. Pierce sweet potato and wrap in a paper towel.
  2. Microwave on HIGH 5-8 minutes.
  3. Remove skin and mash with the remaining ingredients in a medium bowl.
  4. Mix well and pour onto a heated skillet.
  5. Cook 2-3 minutes over medium heat, turn and cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve with your favorite healthy syrup.
 
 

 

High Energy Fiber Protein Oatmeal Breakfast

Ingredients:
